the EURO 2004 thread - Page 7

yeah, the GER-LAT game was kindda a turn off. WTF was the ref doing? There was at least one penalty to no 9 ( I think) and another time situation where he also could have gotten a penalty shot. I doubt he's gonna have any more matches in the finals.
I was a pretty boring game, but the Letvian team really worked their butt off; you gotta respect them for that! The Letvian goldkeeper was damn good, he cought the ball on nearly every corner. They had a forward (probably no 9, I didn't notiche) who stirred the game up a bit.
The germans didn't do much. Kahn was confident as always. Klose had a BIG chance in the last minuttes, but failed. Mr Völler gonna be pist

This sure was unexspected the way this game turned out.

I want to see Sweden - Denmark but damn it I'm working that evening. Oh well at least I can listen to it with a pocket radio.

The Germany - Latvia match was very surprising for sure, I thought Latvia was certainly getting a penalty for the way 2 defenders cut him down.

The DK-SE is gonna be a hell. I want both scandinavian teames to move on, but as it is now, it gonna be pretty toff... Itally is most likely gonna win over Bulgaria, and then they'll have 5 points, and if Denmark and Sweden is even we're gonna have 5 points too. The same for Sweden. I hope Bulgaria beat the **** out of Itally as both Sweden and Denmark then would move on.

An exiting game it sure gonna be.

czechs have won a goal back. whoever wins this match is pretty much sure to qualify for the next round.

2 - 2 with the dutch playing with only 10 men, which was because of a very undeserved second yellow card for one of the players, grr...
Hope it doesn't get any worse then this for us.

Historically the dutch have lost particulary many games to the tsjechs btw....

edit: it did get worse, now that we have lost 3 to 2 we will probably have to leave this championship

Couldn't agree more. This was a freaking awesome game! Man, think about, the Czechs came 'up' from a two golds behind!

I hope Denmark and Sweden proceed, but I doubt it. More like Denmark and Itally... you can't really tell before Tuesday. I hope Bulgaria beats Itally, 'cause then Dk and SE would qualify for next round. Unlikely though.

Well, I'm supporting England, Sweden, Denmark and Spain so that's half of them covered.. Then I'd like to see Holland and the Czechs go through for the sake of the tournament. Of course, I'd kind of like to see England meeting Latvia in the 1/4s so...and Greece deserve to go through...Not sure if the above is quite posssible but I like the idea anyway..

I think Sweden stand a better chance of going through, especially since they only need a draw and the Swedish team this year looks stronger than Denmark especially when it comes to offensive skills. We'll see on Tuesday but my prediction is Sweden and Italy.

Remind me of the Germans tour all the way through World Championship in Japan/Korea
