Goodday!

Ipodstudio tommorow is the big day that will determine the leader of our group. I am going to be in the university library (to be studying) and i bet there is going to be a lot of noise in the cafeteria. 100s of students. Its going to be great! Where are you watching the match tommorow?

remember this guy playing for atletico madrid?

http://www.euro2004.com/News/Kind=1/newsId=192780.html

he will be playing i think. one of the best greek players (striker)

what are your predictions?

i hope we win!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good luck and strength!

Hmm..tough one to predict. The Spanish team is as unpredictable as the English team..

I'd like to see Spain and Portugal go through from that group to be honest as I think that would be best for the competition, BUT, if Greece play the better football then they deserve to continue. Let's see..
The reason I'd like Portugal and Spain to go through is that there have been quite a few underdogs doing well in these competitions in recent years; this time I'd like to see a real battle of the titans where the best win for a change..

England 1-2 France

Rooney's selfishness was incredible. He should have passed it to Vassell and it would have been 2-0.
Owen was invisible, gerrard had a brain explosion, can't blame James, Heskey needs to be sacked (what was eriksson thinking!).

And yes, ZiZou could beat the entire English team blindfolded, standing on his head, French flag in one hand whilst singing the marseillais backwards.

Marios, no I'm an Anglo Scot. My Father is a Scot and my Mother English.. Don't get me wrong, I love Greece (lived there for a short while ((Patras))) and wish them all the luck but IMO there have been lots of "upsets" in recent years and I'd like to see Italy, Spain, England and some of the big boys actually do well for a change. Spain's won nothing, England nothing for 38 years and Italy have been invisible of late. Holland should be up there, too.

...but if Greece play great football and win the cup, good on them!!

For me, at the end of the day, it's just football and something I try not to get too worked up about, though sometimes I fail miserably..

But hey, you and I don't have to even think about it because apparently ZZ can beat the whole English team single-handed so what chance do we all really have?

Well, in the second game the Germans made their goal already. I suppose, they'll go home now and see whether the Dutch can make two on their own...

Grinnings from Hannover!

Manfred / lini

P.S.: I just love the Eureopean Championship - you rarely get that much performance on the net, only when all the others watch soccer...

P.P.S.: Minute 80something - Germans didn't go home; Dutch made a goal, nevertheless; a very elegant one, btw...

P.P.P.S.: They're done. 1:1. Fairly nice match, as far as I could follow it out of the corner of the eye...

1-1... We will need to improve we played very badly.
I think it's fair to say we got lucky that the germans didn't make one or two more, damn...

I'd say the Germans played better, not a lot better, but still better That definately was Germany's best performance since the World Cup final against Brazil.
However, you just can't beat a Nistelroy - out of 1 chance he makes 2 goals.
If I were Advocat, I probably would have subsitituted Maakay into the game.

And what was the German coach, Rudi Völler, thinking by bringin Bobic into the game. He's like one of the worst strikers ever.
