final game portugal - greece

I would rather have seen the czechs play in the finals I did not like the playing of the greeks too much.
The only thing that I think was interesting was that strange guy running up the field and scoring that "goal", lol.
Congrats to greece none the less, like the dutch reporter covering the game said we will have to get used to the greeks playing the best football in europe... for now.

heheh

I know some western europeans are kind of pissed of that a little country like ours is the european football champion but all i know is that we played great and we deserved it. It was not plain luck or circumstances. We played the best and we won. I am very proud of our players and everyone in Greece is happy.

After the end of the match i turned off the lights and watched the fireworks at the city.

I felt a bit sorry for all the Portuguese in Lisboa and I can understand the disspointement. They played well too! Congradts to them too as this is their first time playing at the EURO finals.

That's true. The Greeks earned it. No doubt about it. They played with remarkable team spirit and self-confidence. And as the saying goes: defense wins championships.

Congratulations!

Saw a replay today. Didn't see far past the goal though. It cost me $30 dollars to watch and my hour was up before the match ended

I must say, their passes in the midfield in the first half looked absolutely atrocious Sure, they consistently nipped the ball off Portugal in defense but half the time the ball flew right back to them or out of the field. If they had tighter passes it might have been more than 1-0.

Anyway, they're definitely worth watching in the next World Cup, especially if they keep the coach

Before this thread dies, I'd like to share the most beautiful play of the entire tournament. Words can not describe it, so im posting a pic instead.
