Which SR-009 amp sounds the most realistic to you?

Hahahaha everyone, my family and friends think I'm crazy (in a good way) hahahaha.

I've decided to move on from totl portable audio to headphones and speakers.

So far it seems like the circlotron and carbon have the potential to be the best amps for a 009 rig?

Look at the crazy wish lists on my profile. lol

I don't know much about how the upgraded KGSSHV amps compare to the BHSE, but most people say the BHSE is noticeably better than the standard KGSSHV.

I am also trying to figure out how to interpret comments like "The BHSE is too bright with the SR-009." or "The LL2 is a better match for the SR-009." So many conflicting opinions...

LOL
This comment about the carbon has me very intrigued and excited: "the best bass I’ve heard from an electrostatic amp."
I'm sort of a bass head, so bass quality is extremely important to me. Maybe the carbon will be the one to get, but as of now there aren't enough impressions of the amp. :/

I plan on using the JVC HA-SZ2000 (only costs around $200) for basshead purposes. It has a reputation for being the ultimate basshead headphone, especially when used with aftermarket pads, EQ, and an amp.

Are there any impressions of the amp besides on the product page? I wouldn't spend many thousands of dollars on an amp until I had a very good grasp of its strengths and weaknesses compared to the competition.

So pretty much everyone who has heard the rare and expensive DIY T2 says it's the ultimate electrostatic amp. Too bad it would probably cost five figures, and that's if I could find someone to build it for me after having the money...

I think frank's 845 amp and the sr-009 sounded much better than the bhse and sr-009

Official site or other contact info? Price? Availability?

DIY T2 is pretty much unobtanium lol
I'm pretty sure Stax is currently working on a dedicated SR009 amp. When it will be ready for the public is anyone's guess though.

I know someone who is building one, know others who own them, and know another who is having one built as we speak. I will find a way!

(Getting a cheap amp, then saving up for the DIY T2 seems to be the more logical choice, since the BHSE is already so expensive.)

Where did you get the info about this "dedicated" amp? All the STAX amps are "dedicated" in a sense, but they're not exactly the best.
