Want to Upgrade my nephew from Beats headphones - recommendations ?

Why not let your nephew keep the beats as his headphones and get him some great speakers for his computer/room. Get some nice studio monitors for $200-250, later get a DAC and then a sub :)

most people who do not appreciate audio like us hardly use their speakers, either cos its inconvenient or due to privacy

Audiosource amp 100 or refurbished denon reciever

Passive bookshelf speaker:
Fluance sx6 (don't really need a sub)
Definitive technology sm45

Sub:
Martinlogan dynamo 300
Dayton sub 1000
