Obligatory "Need Recommendation" Thread

Budget - $400, lower is better

Source - Laptop or LG G3

Requirements for Isolation - Reasonable, but not of primary importance.

Preferred Type of Headphone - Closed, over ear or on ear

Preferred tonal balance - "Neutral", but with great sub bass extension and impact (house curve).

Past headphones - Grado RS-2i (yuck, too peaky in treble, not enough bass), AKG Q701 (uncomfortable, not enough bass)

Preferred Music - Electronic (Com Truise, Daft Punk), Punk (Jawbreaker, City of Caterpillar), Rap (Kendrick Lamar, Step Brothers) and...Rock (QOTSA).

Other Info - I like to play my music loud from time to time so power handling and sensitivity are pretty important. Ideas?

Do you want neutral with good sub bass extension. Or do you want non-neutral with bass emphasis. Also, not sure how you are applying house curve here since that's non-neutral with a good bit of bass emphasis.

Soundmagic HP150 have better sub bass extension than Q701. They are more in the neutral class of phones with a bit of bass and treble emphasis. Here are the measurements that Soundmagic supplies:

I wouldn't consider DT770 neutral. Definitely a good bit of bass emphasis.
