Fixing DT770 Pro 80ohms driver

Hi everyone!
I have some Beyers DT770 Pro 80ohms that has very very low volume on the left side. Is there anyway to fix this?

It might be a weak signal connection. It probably isn't the ground because the left and right grounds are soldered together. The weak spot could be anywhere between the end of the cable and the driver though. Have you thought about having them recabled?

I did a search and apparently it's a common occurrence with these headphones...a guy said he had a driver changed 3 times. I thought about it but I'd be afraid it's not the cable...
But by the way you talk about it, low volume almost couldn't be a shot driver? They are about 5 years old so I thought they'd last a bit longer...

Take them apart and test them. Or start a new thread asking if anyone in Canada would be willing to check them for you. I'm in the US so shipping would be a little higher and it would take forever to get them from there to here and then back.
