Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5 - Page 40

I wonder how efficient they are out of an Iphone 6.

Also, a comparison with the Triplefi10s ( sound quality and efficiency) would be greatly appreciated.

Very efficient. In a noisy environment, they still have some headroom volume

Do these have an iphone cable in the package and if not would the H3 or A3 iphone cable fit?

Curious, is it possible to negotiate with the dealers to get better prices on the Z5 or Z7?

At NCIX (canada) technically they can discount it down to near cost, but they have 0 obligation to.

I wonder what it would take to get it down to cost?

Wait is it doable? Have u ever managed to get down the price for something like this? If a bunch of us bought at same time they might be more willing? Just a thought

I got the sales guy at Sony to give me no GST and that was it, so I suck at getting a break LOL. They can sense I want to buy it because I don't have a good poker face LOL

That's still not bad, tax on 699 is quite a bit. BayBloorRadio was more receptive to this. I asked over the phone if there is room for price adjustment so they are cool with it.

some one know if XBA-A2 or A3 has the signature approximate of the MDR-1R? (not too bassy, "mid centric" as some ones say I prefer term neutral), IMO H3 has boomy bass (i don't say bad quality or Beats-like, but MHO a slightly too much bass ) The MDR-1R fit perfectly and heavenly for Classical music

Yea you can propose something like that (I used to work there).

Say... 6 units @ $480 each or something you can give it a shot. Cost for the XBA-Z5 is around $390 (generally speaking, they shouldn't be going below 8.5%). Pretty sure they'd do it.

edit: or let me know how many units you need once you're 100% sure, I can send an email for you.

Would be interested in these if, being at a higher level than HA3, they're in the same ball-park as SE846?

...Then again, I can virtually guarantee the isolation wouldn't be as good, even if the SQ is??!
