Sony's New 2014 flagship IEM - XBA Z5

No issues at all, in fact faster and easier to put them on my ears. Works even better with spinfit tips, do note that there will be more bulky since  the bottom part after the y-split of the cable is really thick.

Weird, everyone have been complaining about how heavy and bulky is the unit and without the earhooks it's not stable n ears and it tends to pop out, may be spinfit is the reason why they are stable, i mean if you used the original tips will they stay in ears comfortably?

Yup using the spinfits as it fits better with the spinfit. With the original eartips, it tends to become loose after a while because the with the spinfits you get better angle adjustments when wearing them. I wouldn't even recommend walking around with them because they are indeed heavier like a headphone cable.

i feel the tips do not feel secure in my ear. and if i use the small size tips i feel the bass got away, and if i use the medium or large i feel the iem will fall out and is not sitting tight in my ear like the shure 846

anyway i ordered spiral dots, and also i ordered the headstage arrow 5tx which will arrive in few days and lets see

i do not know maybe i should order also spinfits as i really am not that happy with the tips i have all of them have their issues wither with how the sound becomes or with fit.

Have you considered using double flange tips for a deeper fit?

They shouldn't be hurting you ears.  Are you sure you're wearing them correctly?  How did it hurt?  Was it from too deep a fit or something?
Anyways, not sure if these fit but you could try:

well they hurt because when i use the medium size the fit is loose and so have to use the large hybird ones and then i feel uncomfortable, i think the sony nozzle in general is short and that is why i feel not comfortable with its fit and finding it hard to get a good seal with proper size of tips

Using large tips shouldn't hurt your ear though.  I find that with double flange tips, it's easier to get a deeper fit without having to insert the iems as deep, so hopefully they might help.  Maybe try to fit them with a screw like/back and forth motion?  Here's a video to show what I mean: (iems in the video aren't the Z5, but it's the same concept)

are you using the reglar hybrid tips or the foam filled ones? I can't stand the foam filled tips myself they bother my ears. But the regular large tips are soft and very comfortable, the best tip for comfort I have.

Yeah, I believe the hybrid tips the Z5 comes with are the foam filled ones.
Here's a comparison of the two:

i used the hybrid foam ones, i find they sound better, i am so amazed why the isolation of the shure is much better though, i tried the olive shure tips on my z5 after tyomg to squeeze them on the z5 which was not easy but finally i managed, and with the same tips the shure isolates much better than the z5 very strange

anyway i will await the jvc spirls and spinfit tip to arrive man, this desgin should have been made different for better isolation and easier fit, its strange that the cba line still is like that why did sony not think of changing the design makes me wonder

The Z5 is a ported design due to they dynamic driver, and the SE846 is a sealed design that exclusively uses BAs.
So sorry if this has been mentioned before (I've only managed to get through 70 pages of this long thread), but has anyone compared the Z5's to the JVC FX1100/1200's? I'm upgrading and its between these two.

Keep in mind that Idsynchrono_24 isn't a huge fan of the Z5's sound signature.

And the Z5.... Well, it's simply not for me. I knew it wasn't for me within perhaps 30 seconds lol. That's... A specialized sig. Very colored. Tons of bass, ultra smooth, veiled and off timbre mids (due to upper mid suckout), smooth and again, off timbre highs. Very wide soundstage but no depth. Very flat. Sounds like the graphs basically. I'd only recommend it to bassheads really.
