Bass friendly headphones for electronic music to compliment Sennheiser HD600s

If you're actually producing, you might want to aim for a planar magnetic, like the Mad Dogs. I would recommend the DT 770s, but they do tend to wash out the mids and highs with overpowering bass. Some of the open DTs might be a good option, but I've never used any of them.

Forgot to mention in the earlier post, to the OP, I've got the HD600, love them. If you want something to compliment the 600, try out the Sony 7520. Crisp sound that delivers more bass than the hd600. Both cans are very good.

Hi there,

I would tell you to give a listen -if you can- to the dt770 & denons. Both are great and you'll have to decide between them. Keep in mind the size of your head if you're planning to get the denons because if you use xs/s caps they'll be to big for you. The Beyers being also very comfortable their cable cannot be upgraded/ replaced easily... The Denons' are detachable.

Talking about the amps, O2 & Schiit amps are a winning election if you don't need anything portable

Hope you let us know your final decision and first impressions of the new set of cans and your amped hd600. :D

Cheers.

If you liked the HD25 and at the same time prefer over ear headphones rather than on ear, have you consider the new Sennheiser HD6, HD7 and HD8 headphones? I must admit I haven't had the chance ti try them, but they advertise them as an over ear evolution of the vintage HD25... Just my two cents....
