Help with Westone UM Pro 20 cable

Thread Starter
Hi. I was previously looking for a pair of over-ear headphones, but I decided to get a pair of Westone UM Pro 20s. The cable that comes with the headphones is not that good, durability wise. I know some other in-ears have much better cords, Kevlar ones for example.

If I were to buy another cord not from the manufacturer, would that work with my in-ears? Also, if they do work, do you have any recommendations on inexpensive, but quality cords?

Thank you!!

I thought the um pro 20 came with a kevlar reinforced cable?  Well, westone calls it aramid, which is, as I understand it, is a generic version of kevlar.
