IEM Considerations?

Hello all, I've looked around the forums for awhile, finally made an account and this is my first post :D.

So, I'm in the mode of buying new IEMs, I currently have my M50's I use at home, but I'm looking for something more portable when I'm not at home.

My genre's I listen to mainly are: Hard Rock, Dubstep, Electro, Rap..

Looking for some ideas on buying IEMs around the budget of $100-150.

I have my eyes on the ATH-CKS99... Any other considerations?

Thanks :D

Maybe something like the HiFiMan RE-400, it's close to neutral, might have enough bass for you, might not.  ThinkSound's IEMs (TS-02 and MS-01) tend to be able to do well for the genres you prefer.  If you can get your hands on a pair, the Phonak PFE1XX may also suit your needs.

Right on, how about the Shure se215? I keep reading everyone enjoys them a ton for the price point.

Those are a little outdated. VSonic VSD3S beats them for $45 bucks. You can do a lot better for $100.

ATH-IM70 will be a better option.

SE215 is kind of veiled and the bass is too muddy for my liking.

ymmv.

Ahh thanks guys for the suggestions. I just leaned towards the  se215 more because a store near me has them in stock so w/e. I'll probably try out those IM70's :D
