Is WMP EQ quality inferior to foobar's?

Maybe my vista wmp is broken.
Some flacs have alot of hissing in the vocals in wmp, but not at all in foobar with very similar eq settings. oddly the mp3 internet version is fine in wmp. Overall wmp eq seems to sound slightly hissing & is a little louder perceived volume & foobar sounds cleaner. Or maybe that is the placebo.

I read wmp also adds preamp in its eq, so maybe this is it. Also wouldn't this mean extra distortion added?
Can anyone confirm if wmp's eq is lower quality?

I have the nfb10 i think.
thanks

Does it still sound worse if played as a WAV?
