How good is that PX100 driver? They are $20 headphones...

These certain look very nice though, design looks great.

Looks amazing. Just 953 more posts to go! Any suggestions on how to increase this exponentially!

BTW, also not fair just because I'm late to this drug/rave/head-fi party.

If it sounds so good with PX100 drivers, I wonder how would it sound with HD800 drivers :gs1000smile:

Probably like rubbish smily_headphones1.gif.

Drivers and cups are almost a voodoo science. Cups do not the driver make, drivers do not the cups make....

Now, now...all is not lost. You are paying for more than just a driver when you buy a headphone. You pay for the entire assembly, designed to work as a single, cohesive unit. A lot of science, research and skill are required to make something like the HD800...

Wje tried many different drivers before he found that the PX 100ii driver improved considerably when he tried them in a tone-wood cup.

My official joining of the thread! Can I just say how beautiful those headphones look on the front page?! Wow

I kinda wish I had some electrical prowess, knowing me I'd find a way to shock myself even with the phones unplugged, so I should most likely not attempt to make these
