Kinda true. The overall soundstage the instruments appear to be pushed a bit further away to give more of a 3d immersive sound sig. smily_headphones1.gif
I think it works cause I can listen with these bloody z7's hrs upon hrs on end. 👍👌

My XBA-A3 sound pretty smooth and silky, no harshness, note that i haven't messed with the nozzle filters as i did with my previously owned XBA-H3

Meanwhile... waiting for @purk and  his Z7's deal

By the way, I say the used price will be $350 in a year not because they are not worth more, that is just the nature of the beast. After a design has been around enough people move them out of boredom and the market will soften in terms of price. I'm kind of saddened that the Sony headphones don't hold their value quite as well as say the Senn 6xx series seem to. I had to sell me mint 1As at $145 Canadian! My Z7 went for I think $425 Canadian.

You missed my joke, I was trying to imply that the music itself was fatiguing. You know I like to rip on you because you only listen to one genre of music, albeit a diverse genre. I rip on you in total jest, you're a great head-fier so I hope you take my jokes in the spirit they are intended.

Probably he's talking tham i am so suqare headed when it comes to listening only to classical music  and well my love for harpsichord, err i meant music with their intended instruments, f.e hate Bach on the piano or Beethoevn on a harpsichord no way!

What I like from Z7's is the dual cable jacks (one in each cup)... i have never felt confident with "single-emded" headphoned (those that have the connecotr in onecup and internally thru the ehadband they connect to the other cup)

Yeah, Z7 with detachable cables is built like a tank. But be careful with that large driver inside biggrin.gif
