Pricejapan is great. I've ordered from Kaneda a few times and it's always been fast, smooth service

So if you get the Z7 with all the Sony gubbins it appears you will get very near to a reference pair with about $1-300 loose change, whilst a ref pair will need to spend around the cost of itself again to shine at the same pound for pound level. It sounds a good deal if you love the Sony signature sound, and can't countenance the Hugo price tag.

so $1300 and some change is the price for the MDR Z7 and PHA 3 if you buy em together q.q

that answers my qestion from earlier. If that's truth right there ^

I might be able to sell everything I own for that price, but the PHA 3 isn't a DAP so :/

Either way $1300 for the whole ki n Ka Boodle isn't bad. Slap in a Fiio X5 for Digital out and your at $1600 for a pretty solid Portable rig. $1600 is what I paid for my Current rig, and I have a feeling the PHA 3 n MDR Z7 will out shine what I have in terms of specs, actually listening could prove to be a different story...
