Hi, sorry for the noob question.

I installed Rockbox, and I am able to detect my microsd card on Mango. However, I could not find my files on the microsd on Rockbox?

It's in File -> Mnt -> external sd

I think I made progress with the soft crackling noise issue . It looks like it has nothing to do with Rockbox after all. It appears the cracking noise is due to the DX90 CPU constantly switching between CPU freq from min to max.

DX90 appears to be constantly switching between min and max cpu performance mode. Somehow this behavior manifests as the crackling sound in Rockbox

I set the cpu performance profile to "performance" instead of the default "interactive". This significantly reduced the occurrence of the crackling noise. The noise still appear but way less frequent and way shorter than before.

Sounds a bit similar to @Lurker0's stock firmware optimizations

People hearing crackling noises, are you using the stock battery?
I'm using a KINPS battery, and running rockbox for 2 days. I haven't had this crackling noise issue.

I have a legit Samsung battery and I have also listened a few times the crackling noise. One time in the middle of a track after navigating in the interface, it never happened to me when listening without touching the player.

The crackling issue has nothing to do with the battery. I have had it with both the Samsung Korea/China and Japan batteries.

i ave installed the international FW on my DX90.

when i select mango, i got the official UI of DX90.

but when starting, when i select the Rockbox, i don't know how to play my music.

for your information : i don't have any music stocked on my internal memory,

i have a sd card 128 GO, and all my music is stocked in that sd card.

Could you please help me with detailed process on how to play the music on the sd card using rockbox ?

it will be my first time to use rock box.

an other question, if i use the mango, will i get the sound quality appreciated by most of those who tested the sound with rock box installed on their DX90 ?

Didn't hyper8 already address your query, Samuel777?
