Unique Melody Maestro

unique melody new flagship and hybrid model will be available for demo during the fujiya avic festival (think japan only exclusive)

UM Mason (12 drivers flagship - Low x 4, Mid x 4, High x 4)
previously named Maestro, they did some fine tuning to the previous demo model during the summer festival

UM Maverick (Hybrid - 4 way crossover: Low x 2 (Dynamic x1 + BA x 1), Mid x 1, High x 2)
think its quite a unique driver configuration for a hybrid.

guess we'll have to wait for some impressions from people who head down to the fujiya avic festival this weekend.

Interesting! Is it exclusive to Japan only?

I'm curious how their Maverick will fair against Merlin...

I just purchased both the Masons and the Mavericks. I'll see if I can throw in a listening sesh back at the hotel tonight. To those interested there are 2 Masons and 1 last Maverick at E-Earphone in Akiba.

I tried both during the festival and I really liked the Maverick. Very fun still very accurate earphones with amazing resolution. One of my favorite of the show.
Mason was technically good but slightly too bright to my taste.

Interesting that they have changed the body of their universal IEM here - Most likely that they cannot fit any more BA's in the shell - I look at my Mentors and there ain't any more room at the inn - lol.
I like the size of the current unit - can anyone with experience on this new version comment on fit? On its own and compared to the 3D printed shell of current UM Universal IEMs?

Maverick sounds very interesting...

It sounds great too. I did some prelim listening to both last night with my AK240. IMHO the Maverick is the one that jumps at you. The DD sounds amazing and incredibly musical. I let my dad hear it (as he is a speaker-audiophile) and he commented, "Now THAT's music."

Compared to the Mavs the Mason has tamer bass but more refined highs. Very much more controlled and tame. The Mavs is the fun IEM and the Mason is the balanced one. At first listen. I'll be taking more notes as soon as I finish my current reviews in progress xD

They're pretty big but comfy. I'll try to take some size comparisons later. Definitely much bigger than most IEMs like the Tralucent Ref1 and Nobles but not as gigantic as the Rox UIEMs.

 Thanks, I will!

Mavs were around JPY 103k. Bought from here:

The site says its more than 103k but I got it straight from their shop in Akiba.
