Please help?? ibasso DX90

Hi

I was wondering if someone may be able to help me or direct me to a little support??

My nice new shiny ibasso dx90 has arrived and I'm not the techyist person on the planet and I'm struggling to get some music onto it............ Embarrassed face!!

I have skimmed over this thread whilst deciding which dap to buy but I can't seem to find any User Manual, either here or at the main ibasso site to give me some direction. I have checked my FW and it is v2.0.0.

All I have tried so far is to drag a folder into the dx90 with a couple of albums for a little trial run.. This however did not work, all I got was a high pitched noise from the player even though the songs/albums seemed to be recognised.

I have downloaded the dx90 tools zip and also the v2.1.0 firmware but I have no idea what to do next..........!!

Would some kind soul please give me a few pointers so I can have a listen please

Hey Deffers,

Check that you're plugged into the headphone out on the bottom left of the player and not the coaxial out on the top of the player.

User Manual is the same as DX50. If you go to iBasso webpage and navigate to DX50 you can download PDF from there.

As far as getting your music folder on DX90, assuming you want to get it onto micro SD card, I found it very easy to do it via computer.

If you have XP Windows and SD card greater than 32GB it will refuse to format it, on Windows 7 no problem. Just stick your micro SD card into SD adapter (skip if your PC have micro SD slot, but majority don't). PC should read it as a Removable Disc. Open it in folder view. Then drag and drop your music files to that window. In my case I didn't have my files located on PC but on another DAP. I just hooked that DAP via USB to PC - it recognizes it also as a removable drive. Dragged and dropped it to SD card from there.

Depending on size, writing to card may take some time, 40GB around 1 hour on my average specced PC. When done, remove SD card from PC and stick microSD to DX90 slot and you should be good to go.

No idea how it works on Mac.

Cheers,

Lad
