Recommendations for an upgrade of the CAL! - Page 2

$220 is way too much for E17.  looks like EF2A might be the best option for you, despite that extra cost.

Even at $255 it's still quite cheaper that the Schiit stack I was originally looking to get ($310) or the EHP-O2D ($300). I would still like an opinion on the latter, though :).

Ok, here's a quick little "update".

I send an e-mail to Epiphany Acoustics, asking them about the compatibility of the AKG K612 Pro and their EHP-O2D amp/dac.

Here's the response:

Hi Tadej,

We have a lot of customers using the AKG headphones and hear nothing but good feedback so wouldn't hesitate in recommending the K612s. Other particularly popular headphones with our amplifiers are Beyerdynamics and Sennheisers.

Now I know asking the manufacturer/seller directly is a bit of a risk.

I guess I'll made my decision in the upcoming days.

here is the 612pro official thread.

Definitely will do. Thanks for the help.

I would, however, have another question. I found a pair of Denon AH-D600 headphones reduced from 399€ (~$545) down to 129€ (~$175). Any comments regarding these cans?

Thanks.

sorry, I haven't heard the AH-D600. I'm not a big fan of closed back headphones( for music) ... be careful about some of those over-cheap deals, unless you buy them from a very trusted source with a good return policy..

Yea, I think I'm gonna leave them alone and get the AKG.
