Concrete Base Headphone Stand

So I've been tinkering around with concrete mixtures and woodworking lately, and have combined them with my love of music.

I recently made my first attempt at a head phone stand.

The base is made out of custom mixed concrete ground to expose the aggregate (which includes amethyst crystals), polished and sealed. The bottom of the base has felt pads.

The stand is constructed without any mechanical fasteners (box joints are used), routed to ease the edges, and protected with an oil based finish.  I made a few in different finishes.

With that said, how important is it to have a cord peg on the stands?  Do folks usually use those?

Sorry, can't answer your question, but is there any chance you can put a picture up as I'd really like to see what you've made.

Cheers

You could post it on picture hosting sites or FB and then copy-paste the link here.

As long as you can get the cables out of the way without undue strain on any part of the cable as the headphone rests on the stands, not really.
