Question - Sennheiser HD 598 on Skype / Gaming (Sound Leak)

Thread Starter

The majority of people recommended getting the Zalman ZM1 microphone with a nice pair of headphones instead of getting a headset.

I am on Skype with friends 3+ hours a day.

If I were to use the Zalman ZM1 and clip it on to the Sennheiser HD 598 cord, how much (if any) would the microphone pick up the audio coming out of the Sennheisers?

Anyone have any experiences relating to this?

I have got some complaints from friend about sound leak with hd 650, and that was with a webcam at ±1m (3 feet) distance, so I'm not sure one on the cable is a good idea. It depends on how much your headphones leak as I've not used the hd 598. but I must ad that it is only noticeable when it's silent and it isn't undermining communication.

I use the K612 pro which are open and nobody has ever said they could hear anything through my mic
