Problem: CDs with completely separated L & R channels

I have several CDs like that, There is no crossover between channels, and different parts are on each channel. With headphones, it is fatiguing to listen to. Is there a workaround for this, short of going to mono playback? Thanks.

Yes, it's called crossfeed. With speakers, some sound from the left speaker will reach your right ear and vice versa, but not with headphones. You can emulate this effect in headphones my scaling, delaying, and then mixing each channel with the other. Some amplifiers have this function built in, or depending on your player you may be able to install a component which does it.
