I think there is a file on the internal memory (where the database is) where the position is saved - maybe it is corrupted?

Thanks for the reply. I am using File Browsing (not database mode). Tracks are less than 5800.

I have been using all previous firmware from 2.14beta to 3.0, did not have such issue before.

I do not need or use ExFat but I like the musicality I get from this beta firmware.

I hope Fiio will fix this (bugs) when it get official.

Then maybe it is the second. Try to run filesystem integrity check on the internal memory (chkdsk in Windows), then delete the file music_list.lst - it is a hidden file.

I was kind of hoping Joe Bloggs was monitoring this thread and provide some contribution. I haven't heard back from Fiio support regarding my issue which I requested about a week ago.

I just dropped in a 128gb exfat memory card into the X3 with the beta firmware.  The card was recognized with no problems and I was able to write to the Fiio X3 directly from the PC.  Everything is smooth.  This is a nice improvement. Now it would be good to allow the X3 to do firmware updates from exFAT also, so there would be no need to reformat memory cards at all.

any new beta firmware coming soon ?

Been running EXFat for a week. I had a similar problem to one of the posters. When I played music from a 64gb Kingston card on switch on it had the song I was playing in the main content and the last song I played from the internal memory at the bottom. It switched to the next song on the internal memory instead of continuing with  the album(on the SD card) I was playing.

I switched off last track and it cured it. I haven't switched Last track on again yet.

I had problems with my Micro SD card and the X3 as you can see from the main thread so deleted and reformatted with the EXFat. I have no idea whether it has formatted as ExFat or Fat 32 as it doesn't say.

I've downloaded from a Micro Sd reader plugged in to my PC. it is more reliable than from the Sd card plugged in to the X3. I wish that the X3 wasn't so temperamental with Sd cards. I don't know if the other rival DAP's suffer from this?

I think that the 3.00EX sounds better than the 3.00. There you go I've said it and have joined the placebo/deluded gang. I'll lie down now.

I have a resume issue also. I have it set on last position, the x3 powered off, upon resuming the song picked up at the correct position, but the wrong artwork and song name were displayed. Advancing the track fixed the display and song playing issue, it then synced up.

Hi Joe, I'm an X3's italian owner and I really want to have my language included in next official firmware release. Please if I translate the whole str directory of the firmware, could FiiO's developers merge it to sources? Best regards.

I find the resume function unreliable with this firmware. Also gap less playback is funky. I get slight pauses or hiccups between tracks. At least with redbook flacs

FYI- FW3.2 solved my Led Zeppelin WAV 96/24 playback issue

No issues with FW3.2 on the resume function as well.

I've been a lot happier with FW3.2
