For Sale:
Turbulent X headphones

Will Ship To: Anywhere

I want to sell my headphone built with Turbulent X driver

This headphone was made with :
- Turbulent X Driver http://turbulentlabs.com/turbulent-x-headphone-driver/
- Rosewood Cups from Gamja Labs
- Leather band from Turbulent http://turbulentlabs.com/grado-saddle-manta/
- Gimbals Aluminium from Martin Audio Custom http://www.martincustomaudio.com/p/sale ... locks.html
- Grado L cush
- Forza AudioWorks Clair HPC Mk2 2m XLR cable

This headphone was created 2 month ago and sounds really good. I want to sell it because I found the right amp to match with my LCD3 (I don't need anymore another headphone).

Thank you!

Interested in these. I'm not knowledgable about the Magnum/X drivers. How would you describe the sound signature of these headphones? Also have you heard other Grado phones, how do they compare?

I compare my Turbulent X to a RS1 and a PS500, it was definitly a sidegrade between these two Grado.

For me, the Turbulent is a mix of the PS500 and RS1 bass : speed, extension, more upper bass than RS1. Mids and high close to the PS500. The Turbulent X is more upper mid centric and moreover, less fatiguing. The soundstage is bigger than PS500/RS1 and I really enjoyed it (layers are more independent and airy).

My 2 cents

Hmm, maybe its not worth it for me considering that sounds a bit like how the MS Pro stacks up for me - and its more a side grade than upgrade. Good Luck with your sale, its a very beautiful headphone.

Are those cups loose in those gimbals? Do they slide around?

Exactly like grado stock metal gimbals (RS1,GS100, PS1000), you can check there http://www.martincustomaudio.com/p/sale-aluminum-gimbals-rodblocks.html

It's quite easy to unscrew the two axes bolt of gimbals and switch with other cup.
