DAC Recommendations

I need a DAC.  I have Ultrasone Pro 750 headphones, MK Little Dot 2 amp with EF91 Mullard tubes and a Macbook Pro.  My budget is around $100, but max like $150, but I would prefer not to sped $150. Thanks.

You'll probably want to look at the brand Fiio - they've some good quality at low prices.

The E07K, E17 or E18 should be good - the E18 is a little pricier but more versatile.

Schiit Modi. I don't think you could do better in the under <$150 range.

+1

If you're looking for a budget option, I hear the HifiMediy Sabre DACs punch above their price point.

Does it have the option to turn off the amp.

The link you gave me was for an iPod line out.

No. It's a lineout accessory for the E7 and E17.

How about the Objective dac ( Odac ) ?. At the limit of your budget though. Otherwise the Schiit is a hard to beat "bang for the buck" at 99$.

Best regards

The E7 and E17 has a port on the bottom that looks similar to the apple 30 pin, yes. That's a docking port for the Fiio E09 and for the L7 accessory to get a lineout signal.
