Hello all,

I would consider my self a "noob" when it comes to headphones however I do know that beats do not have a very good reputation with the experts.

I was in a music store looking for some new headphones and saw the Beats solo 2s sitting there and thought I would try them on. I have to admit, I thought they were very nice as they sounded good and were comfortable (although I only had them on for a few minutes!) I liked them however I am not going to ignore the masses of people who advise that I avoid them, why are Beats bad? and are the solo 2s better than the original ones?

I am also aware that there are other brands such as sennhiser (I love the HD 598) the only problem is that they are open backed which is not going to be any good for me because I will be using them in the open. I'm not too keen on the momentum.

Any advice would be appreciated

Regards,

Harry
