Is my Topping VX1 good enough for my DT880s?

Just bought a pair of DT880s (250ohm) for my office. I bought the VX1 because it has a DAC and headphone amp. It's doing a great job driving my speakers, but I'm concerned it won't be good enough for the DT880s. How much improvement would I see with something like a modi/magni combo? I don't have the cans yet, so just being paranoid. I'd obviously prefer not spending any more money...

I don't think many people here have experience with that amp.  I have the Topping TP 30.

The DT 880 are a former Beyer flagship (in 250 Ohm livery instead of full flagship 600 Ohm) and deserve a decent amp to get all or most of what they can offer.  I like my DT 880 250 Ohm driven by the HiFiMan EF2A--for a budget combo.  However, I don't use its DAC--only the headphone amp portion.
