DAC/AMP For DT770|80 (Aune T1 Too much?)

Hi i just got a new laptop, and the soundcard is HORRIBLE. A lot worse than my phone. (someone on aother forum had a really odd "fix", which was shifiting to 7.1 surround, which made the sound quite a bit better, anyways.)

I'll take this as an opportunity to finaly get around to buying a decent AMP/DAC for my laptop (maybe desktop too). The only high-quality device i'm gonna use with it in probably the foreseeable future is the Beyer DT770 80Ohm.

At first i thought only an AMP would be enough, but someone said that it would simply amplify the already bad audio, which makes sense. Is that true?

So what would you recommend? I'm looking at the Aune T1 but im thinking it would be a bit overkill for me, is it? It doesn't nessecarily have to be AMP/DAC in the same device, but i'm under the impression the not-so-expensive ones are sold as a combo out of the box.

Also, how big is the tradeoff if i'll buy something portable (still AMP/DAC) to use with my android, like for example a fiio? (Im primarily looking for non-prtable ones)

My budget is flexible, but around 300$. Cheaper is, of course, better ;)

EDIT: If it matters, my laptop is Clevo P150em, and phone is the Nexus 5.

A Fiio E17 ($100 to $140) can use it's DAC and amp with a computer (desktop & laptop, PC & mac) and the E17 can use it's amplifier with the Nexas 5 (or other smart phone).

Thx for the input, but as i asked in the first post, is the tradeoff really big considering it is the same price as the Aune T1 (and do i actually need the Aune for my use)?

Oh, and i heard you can use a USB OTG cable to use the USB DAC in the Fiio E17 on some  androids, is that possible on the Nexus 5 as well?

The Aune T1 might make the DT770 sound a little better then the E17 (maybe because of the T1's tube).

But the E17 would be easier to travel with,

I believe the FiiO E18 is more likely to work with very modern smartphones.
