I use a bluetooth receiver and my headphones recently broke. Having found that I cannot get any original replacements (all the eBay ones are fakes), I am considering getting a pair of Sennheiser CX 300 II and chopping them down to the desired length before soldering on a stereo jack plug. I figured for the price I might not cry if I get it wrong.

I was wondering if anyone had any experience of doing similar and could point out any pitfalls of doing this.

If anyone does know where to get very short cord earphones please let me know but i've had no joy yet. I'd be looking for one's similar to those that came with the Sony Mw600 bluetooth (also cant get hold of these but they give you the idea of how short they are).

Thanks
