Just given the Altone200 a brief listening. It has a rather astonishing SQ for the price.

So if the KC06A topped your list for favorite sub-$100 IEM, does the Altone200 top your list for favorite sub-$125 IEM? :)

Agree ClieOS.  Got mine a couple of hours ago.  One of the most addictive signatures I've heard straight out of the box by any IEM.  These are stunning.

Price aside, I think both are really close competition. Each has its own thing that is better than the other yet there isn't any obvious advantage that will make you think one is crashing the other. They both share a slightly warmer and richer tone, where KC06A is sweeter, closer and more intimate, Altone200 is cleaner, more specious and layered. I'll say prefer Altone200 for now, but only by a hair. They are both highly mature in sound with very little fault to speak of, and can be compared to IEM much more expensive than they are. These are the budget (well, a little more than budget) IEM that really sounds expensive. I think if you like one over the other, it will is more likely a result of personal taste rather than technical difference.

In a way, I guess both are topping my sub-$125 list.

I was asked by a couple of people to jot some quick thoughts between the DN-1000 and Altone200.  You can find my initial thoughts here: http://www.head-fi.org/t/724546/new-t-peos-altone200-3-way-hybrid-introduction-high-end-sound-cheap-as-chips/120#post_10697215

Hope it helps someone.
