Need a second pair of headphones, Currently using DT770 80 ohms. Budget is ~$300.

I am looking for a second pair of headphones.  Currently I have a pair of DT 770 80 Ohms that I use at home for 80% games and 20% Music, I love them.  I have a Mod Mic attached to them for talking to friends.  I am looking for a pair of headphones to either replace these for home use or to use at work.  At home I attach my headphones to my ZxR soundcard, at work I will be attaching my headphones to a Mac Book Pro.  I listen to a mix of electronic, rock, alternative, rap and pop.  It is completely dependent on my mood.  My budget is about $300.

I prefer a second pair because transporting headphone to and from work can be a pain, I am transporting a 3 year old at the same time so carrying headphone back and forth does not really work.

I have heard the clamp force is bad with the Yamaha Pro 500.  I have a giant head so that may be a problem with 6+ hours of straight use.

Im a software engineer so I will be sitting at the computer all day.  Ill will take them off from time to time when talking code with coworkers, I just don't want comfort problems like when I got my DT 770's.  My DT770 originally gave me headaches because of the clamp.  After I read about it, I bent them to stretch them out and now they are fantastic.

+1 for the AKG K550. I used to use them as a work can. If you have a big head the headband can be stretched out easily if you find them to be a touch clampy. They're easy to power and will sound fine coming out of a mac book. They sound great with any genre. You'll find them to be more forward in the mids and bit more laid back in the bass compared to the DT770.
