Hard drive full but folders empty?!?!

Hi guys

So basically a few weeks ago I turned in my asus laptop to Asus for fixing since there was a problem with the screen. I did a system reset by pressing F8 and doing all that stuff. Today I finally got my laptop back. Problem is in some of the Hard Disk Drives some of the folders the hard disk drive are half full but the actual file is empty? What should I do about this problem???? Thanks!

I have no idea what you are really saying. You did the "system reset" before you sent the laptop to Asus? What exactly do you mean by "System Reset"? Do you mean that you set the BIOS to factory defaults? Did you reboot the laptop after you did that, and did it come up OK? Please tell us you did a backup of your drive before shipping it off to Asus. If not, then I'm not sure what we can do for you. It would be unusual for a drive to boot up and run fine, but have all the user data files be corrupted. When you can see the files but they are actually "empty", that usually indicates the Master File Table in the partition has become corrupted. I'm not sure if a tool like Paragon Partition Manager could help - something like that is probably what I would try - but you should make an image of the drive as it is right now before you start messing with it - or you could lose the data you still have.
