Hi guys, I'm not that educated when it comes to sound and quality etc besides the basics like bit-rate and formats so i require some help,

I'm looking for a device to play music off for a restaurant? the device will run into a standard amplifier so does it make a difference what device i use? I was thinking of using a iPod Classic 7th Gen and i just wanted to know your guys taughts!  Any suggestions on a device i should use in the 200$ range?

An ipod should be fine. It would be better to use the line out cable. If the amplifier doesnt have a dedicated 3.5mm jack for mp3 players, you should be able to get an ipod line out to rca.

My brother uses a tablet plugged into his restaurant system because he really likes the ability to use Pandora and Spotify. Something to consider smily_headphones1.gif
