If that's the case then they're probably not so great sounding, huh? I think I read the high are really rolled off too much. I think they're muddy too. Right?

Radioshack really limits your choices on headphones, and it also limits your ability to get good deals on headphones. Have you considered selling your gift card? Look up "gift card exchange." You could probably sell your gift card for $90.

What genres of music do you listen to?

My understanding is that all of those card exchanges work on the principle of you sell your card, you provide the card id# so that people can check the number on the card, and then you mail them your card once they pay you. It's about as safe as any ebay transaction. LOL

Is the jvc has 400 bass heavy enough for edm? I've read the ws55 sound great but they're uncomfortable. Sound wise I think they will be perfect. The jvc are so tempting though. So many people rave about them.

I was talking about the site's reputation. I have never heard or used cardpool

Cardpool is offering $75 for a $100 radioshack gift card. That seems pretty nice.

Do you have any past experience with monitoring headphones (or somewhat neutral headphones)?

What are your thoughts on the koss portapro and apple earpods (especially on the bass)?

The portapro have plenty of bass in my opinion. Actually I think the portapro have a pretty good all around sound. They might not be the most detailed but they sound good with most music. The earpods on the other hand I didn't really care for. I never could hear much bass. They were more bass-y than the old earbuds but I couldn't really hear enough bass. My brother thinks they have plenty of bass. Maybe it's because I couldn't get a good fit in my ear or something...I don't know. The highs and the mids on the earpods are fairly decent. Although I did find the highs are bit too bright at times. Especially the s sounds. Almost ear piercing at times. My panasonic rp hje 120 IMO sound much better than the earpods. The bass is a little muddy at times but the mids are nice and the highs aren't fatiguing. Plus they fit great in my ear.

What do your think about them? To be honest I tried to like the earpods twice and both times I returned them.
