Well, those are the FItEars for you. Expensive; plus, you will have to wait a really, really long time.

Anyway, I too liked the W350. In the end however, I went with the W500 AHMorph owing to that awesomely delicious bass texture. As a basshead, the lows on the W500 are some of the best I've ever heard in an IEM.

That's cool and interesting :) Which part do you like it more, midbass or subs?

I love the entire bass presentation of the W500. I have tried the AHMorph and fixed versions, and they both have a thoroughly addictive and delicious bass texture. Its sub-bass is prominent and has very good extension. This is most noticeable with tracks that have rumble into the lowest registers, such as EDM. However, its mid-bass is what got me thoroughly hooked. BA drivers can only dream to reproduce bass on par with a good dynamic. So far, only DD-based IEMs such as the W500, the Lear BD4.2 and the Dita Answer were able to produce such fine bass - the W500 is just the best of the bunch, IMO. I absolutely love dance music, and the W500 does this genre justice. Lows are punchy with good reverb. Coupled with a sparkling treble range, this IEM is perfect for EDM.

Went for second audition, this time at Null Audio which was open this time!

I still like the W350 very very much but the one that got my attention I must say

was the absolute entry level, the A1D. That might be a choice for daily commute in MRT!

Hey Karloil, did you order universal or customs, also is the clear acrylic is the one from the aaw or the black acrylic.
And also, smily_headphones1.gif, what exactly is this customed custom?

Edit- I'm gonna now answer myself, so stupid of me, they both are one unit and judging by the tips they are customs. Sorry something is up with me today.

Lol, now that I clearly see the two monitors are the left and right channel, haha

My W500 AHMorph finally came in on Saturday, and I've been spending some quality time with them over the last few days. I must say, I'm very, very impressed with them. I bought the W500 primarily as a basshead IEM (I'm a huge EDM-head), and in this role, they simply excel, delivering well-textured and hard hitting bass, complementing a prominent and sparkling treble region. Dance music sounds absolutely wonderful on the W500.

I paid an extra S$100 to upgrade to the 8-braid Null Audio Vitesse cable (default was a 4-braid version). The cable is well-built, supple and very pretty.

Good looking ciem seriously and I also like the cable a lot. How are the sound impressions? I mean apart from the bass, any word on resolution and technical capabilities?

yes, i have 2 pairs of reshelled iems. here they are the day i sent them in:

i unfortunately dropped one of them and it had a huge crack...and i realized that i don't often get to use the other pair - so i decided to have them combined! :)

i approached AAW and specified my "preferred" tuning...

10 weeks of waiting - and it was all worth it!

Anyone heard both an AAW hybrid and the Aurisonics 2.5?

The two impressions of the w500 I have read described the treble as 'smooth', so I guess I'm wondering how smooth relative to the 2.5, which I found a little too tame.

I do not like the way I'm getting replies from null audio. It is as if I'd ask them to make one for free.
I'm not sure I'll be doing another deal with them anytime soon.

Edit - I think I got a little upset there and I would now say they are actually one good company. Their quick response and right reply to your questions is a real plus (that is if you're not asking for status very soon which i did and now I understand)

To those who are not aware the null audio will answer your status request after 4 weeks/30 days and then lead time is 8 weeks

Cheers

I have heard asg2 not 2.5, so I can give my thoughts when I'll receive them. Note I haven't ordered w500 instead A3H, so I'm not sure if you'd be really interested to know.
