Hello all, this is my first post, so please excuse me for any newbie mistakes. I am not an audiophile at all, so any tips or comments are welcomed.
I am a student that commutes about 2 hrs each day by bus, and I prefer to listen to music if I can. Now I did some research on Head fi and have found the general consensus to be IEMs for commuting. My question is which one offers the best isolation? I am a med student so need to be able to hear faint heart sounds. I think I already may have some hearing loss from my Apple earbuds that I used in high school. I have looked at a few options.
Shure 215 - Had these for 2 years before they were recently stolen, hence why this new thread. I liked the sound but isolation was okay with silicon tips. I did not like the foam buds that came with it.
AKG K391 NC - These apparently have active noise cancelling, but reviews are mixed from Amazon as to how much noise it cuts out.
Sennheisser E60 - No idea how it compares to Shure 215 in terms of sound, but it does have bass boost. I listen to a lot of RnB, pop, and rock music, so bass could be the tipping point.
I am also open to other options as well (over the head, other IEMs). Price range is about 100-200. Cheaper is of course better for a student :)
Thank you for your help!
