Yeah, I talked to him a while ago and he was having difficulties after the place got snatched out from under him, IIRC. Hope everything works out for him though... Truly good guy. Hopefully he'll make it to the meet!

Theogenes, with you on the Aint's, love them, Broncos though are a no-go, Pat Bowlin "blackballed" a Buddy of mine, Ricky Hunley, haven't forgiven him (yes Peyton Manning is ok, for a Quarterback, but Elway is a schmuk).

Kinda like the Eagles, PAC Offense, with a Wildcat setting records at Aqaba, and they spank the Cowgirls on a regular basis 💣!

Oh, RIP Robin Williams, hopefully he can finally rest 😢.

Kiffin has a solid offensive mind, but I'm not even sold on him having the necessary tools to be a successful OC at a power-5 school. Of course, working at Alabama would be enough to cover a lot of other coaching incompetencies (see also: Sal Sunseri).

And as far as cheating goes, recruiting was just the tip of an enormous iceberg. Kiffin is, by even the most objective measure, about as slimy and unethical as anybody in major college sports. I talk a lot of trash about schools and coaches simply because it's great fun, and getting into debates about football is my idea of a good time. But I honestly believe Kiffin is a truly low-caliber human being, and I'm a little disappointed that a school with the prestige and history of Alabama would intentionally take him on their payroll. As much as it pains me to say it: Alabama deserves better than Lane Kiffin.

Could not agree more with every part of your last sentence. Butch Stones Gets It. The last two guys were horrific detours from an otherwise proud tradition of Tennessee football coaches (thanks for nothing, Mike Hamilton!)

Ha!!! Yeah, I know... How does that even happen?? When I was still but a head-fi pup, I did a lot of reading on the differences between the HD600 and the HD650, and I thought I'd like the sound of the HD650 better, so I picked one up. Ended up not being able to stand the sound of it, let my mom use it for like a year, and then sold it. I'm guessing I would've liked the HD600 a lot better, but there's no way of knowing for sure until I strap 'em on. Still though, you're right: boos and jeers would be wholly appropriate at this point. (I probably shouldn't mention that I've never seen Rocky either, I guess... :o).

Totally agree with the Lane Kiffin take above.  Mike Hamilton was given a lot of lee way after the Bruce Pearl hire, until Kiffin went AWOL and Bruce shot himself in the foot.

Here's the weird thing about the HD650, a much better HP when balanced. I'll bring the original line and the balanced ALO line as its easy to change out.

I was sad to hear about Robin Williams :frown: He had Bipolar Disorder a 25% mortality rate, a very serious illness.

Multiple comedians have this disorder, in the hypomanic state the fast wit is infectious.  The downs however are horrifically bad.

Just got back from dinner with Oteil and his dad, and good news-- he's going to join us at the meet!! Not only that, but he'll be bringing his Grado PS1000!!! Hey Wildcatsare1, you think we should add the PS1000 to the TOTL shootout? ;)

I didn't even hear about Robin Williams until dinner... Very, very sad. Apparently he has three children, which makes it that much worse. Amazing how many truly transcendent talents and minds are lost to depression (David Foster Wallace always comes to mind). Robin certainly left a hell of a legacy, and was among the all-time great comedians and entertainers in modern history.

The TOTL Shootout has another contender then!

So many creative, talented people have as Churchill have their "Black Dog" of depression/bipolar disorder. Apparently he was truly a nice man, charities, paid for Christopher Reeves healthcare through his paralysis, unpretentious, always kind to fans that approached him, it's such an insidious disease. I pray that he has found the peace that eluded him during his life.

I'm not a particularly religious guy, but I can whole-heartedly agree with this sentiment. RIP, Robin.

This sounds like a lot of fun. I will try to make it out.

Currently the only headphones I have are the ATH M50s. I'm new to the headphone game. I really want to hear quite a few of the models that you guys are bringing.

Couldn't have said it better than Jay did! Come on down, man-- there's gonna be a lot of great stuff there, and great people to boot! Please do bring your M50s as well, as there's always interest in some of the good, classic headphones that are available at non- arms-and-legs pricing, and you'll be able to listen to your own headphones from a number of different sources (which is really helpful in figuring out what will work best for you).

Look forward to meeting you there, man! :beerchug:

I too have wanted to hear the Pan Am with my K712 Pro's.  Fingers crossed it stays in the mix.

I'll get it updated on the front page when I get back! The B-ham contingent will be well represented in any event wink.gif.

You still bringing the SennGrados? I think those suckers could really turn a few heads...
