Good to hear that Wildcatsare1 is alive and well and oh so very mellow, the Volunteer state salutes you beerchug.gif

Rumay408, Skyline & Theogenes, thanks, am glad to be home, next mobility🏃!

If Eric is still willing to send me 400i & the 560's, I'd like to hear them for an extended time period.

Loving my iFi Nano iDSD mobile rig, it takes the PSB M4U1's to an unexpectedly high level....

The IFi Nano iDSD looks really cool, I would love to hear that DAC.

Get well and be at the show.

Sweet, man!! We'd love to have you!! And I've never heard any of the Burson stuff, so that would be awesome as well... Cheers, man!!

After this last Houston mini meet, I appreciate my Burson a lot more. While most of the amps there were balanced, there were a few non balanced, and IMO none of them had the PRaT I was used to from my Burson. Sure some gave better imaging, and some had a blacker background, but none gave drums the same *pop* or bass the same oomph (look at me, using them real technical words!).

Yeah, getting a chance to listen to a bunch of different gear can really help you hone in on what you like (and what you don't). The first meet I ever got to attend was Canlanta, and it was there that I realized how perfect the HE-6 was for my tastes, how much I like the Aurisonics house sound, my preference for solid state over tubes, etc. Even at the last Nashville meet, I learned that-- despite so much of what I'd read-- I really, really like the way Grados (and the GS1k in particular) sound. Meets are just kind of awesome for broadening horizons and making it a lot easier to see where you should go next, instead of just buying a bunch of different stuff based on reviews and hoping.

Burson is another one of those brands similar to Grado in that people tend to really like or really dislike the sound. As such, it's on my list (along with the HD700, Edition 10, and about 50 other items) of things that I'd like to hear and decide on for myself. If you're able to make it, I'd love to give it a listen!

And as for the terms-- nah, you're using ones I understand. "Musicality" is one that I still have no idea about, along with, uh, everything Srajen Ebaen has ever written.

Reached out to Todd at TTVJ this morning about possibly attending or allowing us to set up some loaner headphones to listen to, as he seems really good about engaging HF members through loaner programs. Keep your fingers crossed! :)

I returned my UE Boom and replaced it with the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio, which was significantly more discounted. It sounds much, much better.

I'll also have the newest HiFiMan leather pads for my HE-300.

Never even heard of the Onyx Studio, sounds like I'll have to check it out! Also, are you talking about the FocusPads, FocusPads-A, or something else for the HFM?

The onyx studio is like Klipsch Promedia's, but worse imaging, bass extension and soundstage. So pretty dang good for being battery powered.

And I guess I'll be getting the Focuspads, unless you guys have any reasons I should get the Focuspads-A.
