to much choices

Hi all,

Recently i bought a Little Dot Mk3 to go with my hd595 witch ive had for a long time, and before i knew it, i bought a dt880 and a second hand hd600. I am fairly convinced that the DT880 isnt a keeper,

but i love the hd600. My setup looks like this

Sonos ZP90 (ultimo modification) > Tubemagic D2 > LD MK3 > HD600

The little dot is my first tubeamp and so far so good, it only sounds a bit too  warm for my liking. But maybe something else in the setup is the cause, so i would like some input.

Ive already donesome research and it seems that the following amps do well with the hd600:

Schiit Valhalla

Woo audio Amps

Darkvoice

Could someone show me the best way to a good setup?

Might be a better financial choice just to swap tubes on the MKIII.

Can you articulate about why you like the HD600, over the DT880s?

(I own the DT880 250s & 600s)

Unnatural, and suprisingly not detailed enoough. They are very treble happy. There is a spike somewhereup there that makes cymbals very stand out, even with my tube amp.

I know it sounds weird when i say they are treble happy and not detailed enough, but when you listen to a hd600 you will hear what i mean. Also the instrumental seperation is just not there.

They do excite tho. And i like the open airy approch to the soubd too

I vote for doing a little tube swapping first - that is one of the beautiful things about the tube amps - ability to get multiple sound prints from one amp
