Recommendations for Shure SE846

Hello,

I am not very experienced in sound quality but i was able to get a pair of Shure SE846 for a great price. I have used these earphones through my iPhone 5s and although it seemed alright straight from the headphone out i had the impression that the sound quality could improve. Anyway, i was looking into getting an amp or a DAC/Amp.

Can someone help me pick out an Amp or DAC/Amp? I am looking for something that would go well with an iPhone without being too bulky and maybe around the $300- $500 range. So far, the only amp or DAC/Amps i know are the PICO Slim and the Vmoda Vamp Verza. Any other recommendations?

Thanks!

If you can wait for a while (6-12 months), I would SERIOUSLY recommend Light Harmonic's Geek Wave/Geek Steam. I backed their kickstarter campaign for Geek Out and this USB DAC/AMP combo is INSANE. It has a really great balanced/neutral sound with really great soundstage/sound positioning. Geek Wave/Geek Steam (reconfirming this with Gavin so please don't back it on idiegogo yet) can act as a DAC/AMP combo for Android/iOS or be its own standalone player.
