Any recommendations for an old school hip hop listener?

Hi,

This is my very first post on these forums (Yay!) and I need some suggestions on earphones that provide a decent amount of bass and excellent sound clarity for old school hip hop/regular hip hop.
Thanks, Headphoner2000

What do you mean by "decent amount of bass?" Do you mean heavy bass emphasis, like Beats (only better SQ)? Or do you mean good bass extension so that the bass is accurately reproduced?

I meant that I would like bass which does not overpower the sounds of various sounds, such as the drums, claps, etc.

What's your budget?

If you want bass emphasis, AKG K550 and HP200 would be good headphones to look into.

For some bass emphasis, Beyerdynamic DT770. Depending on what impedance model of DT770 you buy and your source, you might need a headphone amp.

Alright, thanks. I will look into those.

Sorry. Typo on my part. The Hp100 and K550 have good bass quality, but are fairly balanced in overall response. So no heavy bass emphasis
