Monster cable, is my wire silver plated or aluminum plated?

It's silver color on the top and copper on the inside. Wondering if it's actually silver or aluminum.

It's this: http://www.amazon.com/Monster-XLN12S-18SB-Standard-Discontinued-Manufacturer/dp/B002MBZVFE

There is a 99 % chance that it's 'tin' plated like almost all wires are.

But there are wires and cables that are;

a] Coax cables that has a copper plated steel center wire.  The cable TV installer's use them all the time.

b] Some cheap hi-fi wires & cables that are copper plated aluminum. They have brand names like 'RCA".

Is tin a bad thing? Never thought about tin plating before. ATM, I'm going to replace everything with monoprice.

Tin plating of copper wires is a good thing.

So I looked up tin plating in my 850 page book by Henry W, Ott and it's way ahead of almost all other materials.
