Fiio X3 Internal Storage Failure - What to do?

Help! The internal storage of my Fiio X3 failed today. The external storage still works OK. I am running the 3.0 firmware update on a Win 7 32-bit system. Is there a repair I can do myself or do I need to return the unit to Fiio for service? This my second unit. The first one failed when the slot for the micro sd card would no longer hold the cards after about a month of use. Better quality control is needed. I'm very frustrated because I enjoy the sq and the ability to play lossless files and use the unit as a DAC. Any suggestions from the Fiio folks who monitor this site? Thanks, Alan

For this case, pls try to format the internal storage of your X3 by the computer firstly. It's suggested to format it to FAT32. If the problem still can't be solved, pls send the email to us: support@fiio.net.

Yes, just set file format to be "FAT32" and Allocation unit size to be "Default allocation size". There shouldn't be any difficulty making these settings on the 8GB internal storage of the X3 (as opposed to, say, a 64GB SD card).

Yes. I was going to write again earlier today. I tried reformatting the internal storage 'drive' last night and my system would not do a reformat. However, this morning I tried reformatting again and it seemed to work as I was able to reformat and then copy files to the reformatted drive. I did use FAT32 and the 'default allocation size' settings. So, hopefully, this will have solved my problem. Thanks to Joe and the Fiio support folks for responding very quickly. I appreciate it. I had to do this once when the cable got disconnected while copying files over. I haven't had any trouble since so, hopefully, neither will you. Fingers crossed...
