Have etymotic mc5's great but need a bit more bass

Currently have mc5's from etymotic and love the sound minus the bass. I just need more bass. I have the hf3's on order but I doubt they will have what I'm looking for either. I have a 200$ cap. Please suggest what you think I should look towards also must have mic and controls for an iPhone. Thanks in advance

RHA MA750 or Dunu DN-1000 are two good ones.

I almost purchased the dunu's. They were very enticing but realized they didn't have the controls and mic. Thanks for the recommendations! Please if you have a couple more that would be appreciated.

Oh jeez, I missed that requirement. I'm so sorry. The RHA MA750 still stands since it has an inline variant. The Velodyne vPulse are pretty much the opposite end of the Etymotic MC5s. I'd suggest Shure SE215s, but the inline cable has to be bought separately, is extremely overpriced, and apparently it's crap according to Amazon reviews.

Monster Turbines (vanilla, not Gold or Copper) are an old recommendation and have been discontinued, but they'd probably work well if you can find them for a reasonable price.

I can't think of a lot more options with an Apple inline remote that meet your criteria. Even with a universal inline, I'm a bit hard-pressed. But I feel confident about my above suggestions.

I haven't heard them, so take these bass rankings with a grain of salt. They're based on what I listed, from least to most (not to say what's at the top has too little).

  • RHA MA750i
  • Monster Turbine
  • Velodyne vPulse

Someone else might know better than me if they can pitch in.
