If Grado release the evolution of another heritage headphone what new design can it feature that would make it radically different to the current rs series?

Isn't the whole gimmick of GH-1 is on the Limited raw materiasls (that one tree)?

How can they release more Heritage Series if they already came out and said they are only doing this with that one tree?

Grado unless other companies doesn't come up with nee stuff every 3 and or 6 months, so when sales slow down they have to do something to get the attention of the fans and newbies, so they do it their way with such limited editions, why not indeed?

Having grown up in Brooklyn, I can tell you it has an abundance of maple trees.

Tis a tad off-topic but that was what I originally thought so too,  until I read this from Grado website

Fast forward sixty-two years, and we’re celebrating our heritage with the GH1. The GH1 is the first headphone to ever be built from a Brooklyn tree, and marks the beginning of our Grado Heritage Series. What makes this mean even more to us is that the tree is from our hometown of Sunset Park.

Perhaps I am a tad over-zealous with this bold statement and what it implies?

1. Is there more to come and the GH1 is the start of the new series or

2. Is this a "one-off" of the series?

I would be concerned with the rs series if 1 is correct and if 2 is correct then there is definitely no need to worry.

It is logical why the new series was introduced in commemoration of  Jospeh's passing in Feb of this year and this seems to be the theme behind it's release with Grado going back to it's roots.

I was just curious if this is/was the start of a new series or a one off that's all.

Back to discussing the e series :deadhorse:

Well... GH-1 is released the "E series" era. So it is an E series so to speak, so it shouldn't be off-topic don't you think?

Plus, Aren't you the one who started the topic? We are off-topic because of you! Haha.. I'm only joking, please don't take it seriously.

I mean, they said on that web video interview they did that they are only doing the GH-1 from the one tree (that they could only get after asking for some special requirement or some sort). Plus, the "it's only made from that one tree" is how the regional distributor here limitedly advertised the GH-1 as well. And put the price at $850 while they're at it.

Grado has done a number of special releases in the past, including 2 for this site.  This seems to be in step.  At this point it's apparently unclear when and what will be next.

From what I understand…the GH-1 is definitely a "Limited Edition" and Grado sold the entire production of the GH-1 in 1-day…there are no more being produced.

Interesting; I wasn't aware of that.

Thanks for the edification.

How do they look compared to the RS series. The stain finish on them look rather dull.
