For Sale:
FS - very custom TH900 - Lawton modded, Q French Silk cable (TRADES???)

Will Ship To: CONUS

This is one of many TH900's for sale............but this one is different.  It's a second owner unit that is flawless and is very custom.

Starting with the cable - it's a black Q French Silk cable about 3.5' long from BTG Audio and has a 1/4" termination.  The headphone was sent to Mark Lawton, who did his magic on it with the damping mods to the driver and cups, resulting in a headphone that is as close to my perfect sound signature as anyone could believe.  The value of the cable and damping alone are over $300.

Why am I selling then?!?!

Boredom.  I realize I will never be content with my headphone collection and just enjoy using them.  I'm OK with it by the way as I'm a proponent of "know thyself".   While I love the Denon/Fostex sound signature, I have a D7000 (also very custom and I will NOT sell it) that is a clone of this TH900 (to my 52 year old ears anyway), so it's redundant to keep this.  So.....it's time to let my eye wander again...

Got an interesting trade? I'm wide open now that I bought my HE-6 so let's see some trade opportunities. Cash price is $1200 plus Paypal fees (unless you do gift) and shipping is now included in price.

The TH900 comes with all the original packaging and stand.  It will be packaged appropriately and will arrive in pristine condition as you would expect.

Thanks for reading.

You should propose a trade to me with those D5000's....................you're a creative guy (I know what you do for work!)...................

LOL! :)

You definitely want the trifecta huh?!

Once I receive back my T5p's (yeah, Martin still has them...) I will probably sell most of my headphones but I don't think I will let go of my D5000s.

If I decide to do so soon, I will let you know first! :D

He STILL has them? Seriously? Seems like it's been 6 months! He took two months to do my D2000 and that, tho worth it in the end, was a month more than I was told.

Artists take their rime I guess.....the cups are truly amazing. What wood is he making your cups out of?

Wow, you guys are extremely patient...

I could never send a headphone in and wait a month or two for "optional" work to me done.

Having multiple other good ones made it possible. The worst one was the TH900. Sent it to Lawton to have damping done and to remove a XLR plug and put on a 1/4" plug. Simple, right? Took just over a month.......because he doesn't do jack work, had to send it out to be done. Never again.

I decided on Curly Birdseye Maple just because I wanted something different/opposite than the D5000 (redwood burl). I also have the "Suji" from LFF as well.

And yes... I sent my headphones the first week of February... he started working them LAST MONTH! LOL He indeed had a huge backlog plus I think he and his wife had a child as well so... Life sometimes get in the way... :)

Hopefully he'll be done soon!
