So in many ways this could be the headphone for the eyes. Here is an article from Wired. Buy the magazine!

I hope the deal with samsung give them access to their 5" QHD Oled panel.

 

I must say I am quite worried I will have to use iems with it. On the other hand that total isolation may play right into it or it get to much :D

I think that it will have many levels of immersion. 1st level would be like reading a map to go somewhere, but maybe some video games would be very close to reality.


It could truly be like another demential shift effecting how we communicate in media. Movies in 3D, buying a car without going to a dealership or leaving your house. Doctors could do surgery with robots. Imagine the dating services.

The IEM manufactures should be friending up with this company. There will most likely be a need for headphones and headphone amps soon. Most new buyers will need to get a headset to either communicate or listen with their new device. I can't see the basic public going and researching headphones, as they will end up buying what is the package deal at their purchase checkout.smily_headphones1.gif



When this takes off there will be headphone sales to the other 90% of the population. Basically everybody. Lol
