Another possibility: the 280 Pros are a dream for bassheads, IF you are listening to music with a lot of sub-bass in particular. They suck out the mid-bass. They're a blast for some EDM styles but very inaccurate. Epic isolation, but very clampy. Comfortable enough after the clamp is broken in though. In his price range, maybe the 380 Pro? I haven't heard it though.

ATH-WS99 seems to be a good choice and the price seems nice...

Anyone got any other suggestions and I can run it just straight from my motherboards onboard audio?

E: Oh and does any one know a nice mic to use with it? Used just for voip so no need for awesome sound quality.

Also it would be nice if it could be attached to the headphones somehow, preferably under 30$ but if I can get one that is just fine for much cheaper I'd rather take thatone.

M50x? I know for a fact the ATH closed back line runs great on low power sources.

Everything you wanted in one headset. They are going used for $90 on the link, too.

Actually, speaking as the owner of Sony MDR-X05s, that wouldn't be a bad choice (not sure about the X10s). Not really the most clear headphone, but the bass is quite a lot of fun for a consumer.

Those are on top of ears? That is a big turn off for me =/

I'd rather use ones that are around the ears.

In that case, I stand confidently behind the headphones I recommended prior.

I finally got ATH-WS99, took two weeks from ordering to get into my local post office.

These sound even better than I expected, I was a bit uncomfortable with bass being too heavy but is just nice. These could be a little more comfortable from top thought, but I hope I get used to it.
