DT880 Pro and Apogee One.

Hello, i'm going to study Audio engineering and as a requirement i need Professional headphones and the apogee one (or duet), i want to buy the beyerdynamic Dt800 Pro (250 ohms), do i need a headphone amp? or it will work with the apogee? Sorry for my english, is not my native language.

The ONE will be able to power these headphones, no problem.  Plenty of output gain!

Thanks! SAE Institute in Mexico city, is the best choice here in Mexico.

Do you know the difference between the dt880 pro and the premium?

Price and thats about it, I'd get your self the Pro and enjoy the savings, oh the Preuim has a Straight Cable, the pro has a coiled one, I prefer the coiled my self

Looks like the premium ones have a choice of different impedances.  

Oh that too, but sonically they all sound the same, and 250 Ohm is a good resitance figure, you will need an amp for them [which I believe you have] and the benifit of the 250 ohm is if you purchase a more expensive and possibly better sounding amp the Pro will pair better with higher powered amps

Thanks to everyone for helping me. :normal_smile : I bought the apogee ONE (the one that can be connected to the ipad) and the dt880 Pro 250 ohm last thursday and they sound really good. :beerchug:

The only problem is a hum sound (maybe a ground loop?) that comes up when using the ONE while connected to the power supply. I will test it in another house i see how it works :regular_smile :
